Badija and its adorable inhabitants

Shingle beaches in tranquil surroundings

Picnic boat tour
Our Island Picnic boat tour allows for stops for swimming, snorkeling, and exploring picturesque islands in the Korcula archipelago. The tour starts with a relaxing cruise through the Peljesac channel, stopping at a shipwreck site for snorkeling, and continuing to island Vrnik.

Badija
Coated gracefully in pine, cypress trees and Mediterranean shrub while surrounded by a peacock colored sea, Badija is the most impressive islet in the Korčula archipelago. Containing family-friendly places to swim, impressive 15th century Renaissance architecture and one of the best views of the whole archipelago, visitors can easily spend a whole day here exploring, swimming and relaxing. There are even forty-three tame deer to keep you company!

Settled initially by monks who sought its secluded nature for spiritual sanctity, the island has developed numerous elements of a self-contained entity that has left behind useful facilities such as a large quay, mini-golf and a pleasant hiking path. For art and architecture fans, the late Gothic monastery from the 15th century and the newly opened art gallery make it a great place to get in touch with this region’s creativity. Together with the large amount of sunlight that it receives as a result of its southern position, Badija is one of the most delightful islands to visit in the Korcula archipelago and is rightfully a favorite place for locals to spend their leisure time.

Vrnik
The second largest island in the archipelago offers the visitor shingle beaches in tranquil surroundings of a picturesque island village ideal for a day trip.
Previously an important source of stonemasons, sculptors and stone quarries, it offers the best insight into one of Korčula’s most important crafts. The well-built houses around the island testify to the centuries-old craft of the local inhabitants, who numbered almost two hundred at the dawn of the 20th century.

Vrnik contains secluded swimming spots, crystal clear waters and constant reminders the visitor of the island’s centuries-old crafted heritage. This includes sculptor’s ateliers, sturdy houses and outsized buildings used to carve the island’s stone exports.

Once on Vrnik island, you can visit an old quarry, swim and snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Korcula archipelago. After Vrnik, we continue our boat sailing trip to island Badija known for the 15th century monastery and its adorable inhabitants, deers. Enjoy swimming in Badija waters, hang out with deers, or nap in the shades of the trees with the sounds of the sea in the distance.

The great Korcula gourmet bike tour
Korcula is a simply gorgeous historical town on the east side of the island, populated for millennia before Greeks’ arrival. Later times saw the city built in the shape of fishbone to serve as natural air conditioning regulating the wind flow, while its walls would protect it not just from possible attack but also from stormy and cold winds in winter. Korcula town is claimed to be the birth place of the famous Italian traveler Marco Polo.
