These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of https://korcula-experts.com and all services offered by Korcula Experts ("we", "us", "our"), including car rentals, private transfers, and excursions. By booking with us, you agree to these Terms.

2. Bookings
A booking is confirmed when you receive a confirmation email from us with a unique booking reference. Until confirmation, any quoted price is indicative and subject to availability. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any booking at our discretion, with a full refund where applicable.
You confirm that all information provided (personal details, dates, driver information) is accurate and complete.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are quoted in Euro (EUR) and include applicable Croatian VAT unless stated otherwise. Optional extras and age-related driver fees are added to the base price as displayed during booking.
Payment terms:
- A deposit may be required at booking; the balance is due on pickup or at the start of the service
- We accept major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) via Stripe, plus PayPal and bank transfer
- A security deposit (separate from the rental fee) may be required for car rentals and is refunded after the vehicle is returned in acceptable condition
4. Car rental specific terms
4.1 Driver requirements
- Minimum age: 21 years (additional young-driver fee may apply for drivers aged 18–21)
- Valid driving license held for at least 2 years
- Passport or national ID card
- Credit card in the main driver's name for the security deposit
4.2 Vehicle usage
- Vehicles may only be driven by drivers registered on the booking
- Driving on unpaved roads, off-road tracks, or to non-EU destinations is strictly prohibited unless agreed in writing
- Smoking is not permitted inside any vehicle
- Transportation of animals is permitted only in a suitable carrier and must be declared at booking
- Fuel: vehicles are delivered full and should be returned full, or a refuelling fee will apply
4.3 Damage and insurance
Our rentals include basic insurance coverage. Details of coverage and excess amounts are specified at booking. You are liable for any damage not covered by insurance, including damage caused by gross negligence, driving under the influence, off-road use, or unauthorised drivers.
You must report any accident, theft, or damage to us and to the local police immediately. Failure to do so may void insurance coverage.
4.4 Traffic violations
You are responsible for all traffic fines, tolls, and parking tickets incurred during the rental period. Administrative fees may apply when we process such charges on your behalf.
5. Transfer specific terms
- Booking times refer to pickup time, not arrival time
- We recommend booking at least 24 hours in advance; last-minute bookings are subject to availability
- For airport and port pickups, we monitor actual arrival times and wait accordingly
- Complimentary waiting time: 15 minutes for local pickups, 60 minutes for airport pickups. Additional waiting time may incur charges
- Luggage: each passenger is entitled to one standard suitcase plus one piece of hand luggage. Additional luggage must be declared in advance
6. Excursion specific terms
- Excursions may be cancelled or modified by us due to weather, safety concerns, or insufficient bookings — in which case you will receive a full refund or be offered an alternative date
- You must arrive at the designated meeting point on time; we cannot delay departure for late arrivals
- Suitable clothing, footwear, and sun protection are your responsibility
- Children must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times
7. Cancellation and refunds
Please refer to the specific cancellation policy displayed at booking. In general:
- More than 7 days before service: full refund less any payment processing fees
- 3–7 days before service: 50% refund
- Less than 3 days before service: no refund
- No-show: no refund
Refunds are processed via the original payment method within 10 business days. If a service is cancelled by us for any reason, you receive a full refund regardless of notice period.
8. Liability
We take the safety of our customers seriously and carry appropriate insurance. Our liability is limited to the total amount paid for the relevant booking, except where Croatian law imposes broader liability (e.g. death or personal injury caused by negligence).
We are not liable for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to weather, natural disasters, transport strikes, pandemic restrictions, or government actions.
9. Customer conduct
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service without refund if you behave in a way that threatens safety, causes damage, or disturbs other customers or staff. This includes intoxication, illegal drug use, or abusive behaviour.
10. Privacy
Your personal data is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Croatian law. Any dispute arising from your booking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Dubrovnik-Neretva County, Croatia, unless EU consumer protection law grants you additional rights in your country of residence.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version displayed on our website at the time of booking applies to your booking. Changes will not affect existing confirmed bookings.
